Sierra Club Angeles Chapter. Website for 50,000-member organization. Assistant Webmaster. Maintain site content, functionality and images. Winner, Sierra Club Electronic Communications Award for 2004.

Viking Office Products. Large e-commerce site selling over 32,000 products. As a website manager, I maintained catalog content, ads and database, helped with search engine optimization and created HTML pages and graphics to increase traffic and sales. Sales and products increased from $2 million and 7,000 in 1999 to over $80 million and 32,000 in 2003. Viking is a subsidiary of Office Depot.

Site features I created include New Items Sale Pages - Periodically updated sale page to highlight new items for customers. Tips for Choosing the Right Products - Index of information pages for customers and site visitors. Page topics like How To Choose The Right Printer & Printer Paper For Your Office, Ergoman (finder page for links to ergonomic products), Digital Cameras, Office & Desk Organization, etc. Business Resources/Online Directory - Links page for business and related resources on the Web. Rebate Center - Page linking rebates and products on vikingop.com website. Coupons on live site are usually PDF format, so a link to Adobe is also provided for customer convenience.

Viking Call Centers. Intranet site on Office Depot's corporate servers inside their firewall. I was responsible for site concept, project management, launch (in 2000), content creation, webmastering and maintenance. Design philosophy to provide resources to synergize with a broad cross-section of company needs. Site has hundreds of pages of content. 2,000 site visitors a month.

Spirit of Viking - November 2001 issue of monthly online newsletter featuring cultural and employee-centric items for company facilities. I was Web editor. Spirit of Viking Index Page - Monthly issues since January 2001.

Errors Report Form - Validated JavaScript form to send e-mail about content errors in print, AS/400 and vikingop.com website catalogs. Sleuths of Fame - Recognition program home page for representatives reporting errors with the form. Updated monthly.

Viking Logos - Stock logos available from Viking for call center reps to share with our customers. Entire minisite.

Viking Vendors - A list of more than 350 websites of companies whose products Viking sells. A similar list is on the site for Viking carriers. These lists have been maintained since 1999.

Viking Office Products Premiums Online Website used worldwide to order premiums for Viking. Home page only.

Eclipsar. Personal website featuring astronomy, natural history and photography. Started in 1996.
